“The Umbrella Academy”: Baby Pogo looks so cute in Season 2 on Netflix!

Season 2 of the Netflix superhero series “The Umbrella Academy” takes you back in time. Pogo, the horny monkey butler, also appears as a young chimpanzee. Now a first picture has been published.

Warning, spoilers for the first season “The Umbrella Academy”

The author of these lines has read the comic book and was therefore warned, but it still hurt to see the lovable monkey butler dead: Pogo (Adam Godley), the surrogate father for the dysfunctional superhero family in “The Umbrella Academy”, dies with you The powerful Vanya (Ellen Page) freaks out, who has no control over her powers.

But the upcoming second season takes place before the first season because of a time travel – so Pogo is back! As a little monkey in a spacesuit! Instead of a tie, he wears a small name tag on his suit that says “Pogo”!

Yes, it is always a bit cheap to show popular characters as babies and thus guarantee to appeal to the part of the audience that has a heart – Lucasfilm has only just successfully applied this gostream in “The Mandalorian”.

In contrast to “Baby Yoda”, which contrary to popular belief is not Yoda as a baby at all, but only belongs to Yoda’s way and is the cute object that everyone is after, Baby Pogo could be in the second season of “The Umbrella Academy “to become more than a cuddly MacGuffin: Perhaps we will see how not a monkey who is shot into space becomes a kind (and speaking) monkey butler.

That’s what the 2nd season “The Umbrella Academy” is about

The new season will be released on Friday (July 31, 2020) on Netflix. After the apocalypse triggered by Vanya in 2019, the Umbrella siblings landed in the Dallas area in three different years from 1960 (this city looks familiar to comic connoisseurs). Five (Aidan Gallagher) ends up in a nuclear disaster as a result of the siblings’ journey through time.

The new season will be released on Friday (July 31, 2020) on Netflix.

The Umbrella heroes now have to somehow come together to find out together why the nuclear disaster happened – and to stop it. Oh, and besides, it would of course be nice to return to the early present to avert the other catastrophe here …

Here is the trailer for the second season “The Umbrella Academy”, which promises more madness than was offered in the first season (whether the second season will really be closer to the rather incoherent comics * remains to be seen):
